Independent Variable

Page history last edited by Dr. Pattie Thomas 5 years, 9 months ago

An independent variable is the measurement of a phenomenon that is changed to measure a corresponding change in another phenomenon.

Poverty is among several independent variables being tested to predict crime rates.

In cases for causation, the independent variable is the proposed cause.

Once tested poverty has been shown by testing that is is the strongest independent variable tested, the case for poverty causing crime rates has more support.
